The collection contains letters responding to requests for photographs and to copies of articles sent by Trommer to artists. Several letters refer to work on an article, "Jewish Women in American Art." Some include comments on the nature of art, the role of the media, or invitations to visit studios. Also included are letter relating to Trommer's own endeavors, including responses to art exhibit entries and her proposition to add an art department to The Day, The Jewish National Daily. Respondents include Albert Dreyfuss, Louis Lozowick, Adam A. Sanders, Moses Soyer, Abraham Walkowitz, and William Zorach.
